Scotiabank Announces Temporary Closure of San Pedro Branch
Belize City, Belize - August 4, 2020 - Scotiabank yesterday (August 3, 2020) implemented a temporary closure of its San Pedro branch to facilitate a deep cleaning and sanitization exercise. The Bank is expected to re-open on Thursday, August 6, 2020.
This precautionary measure was implemented following an increase in the number of staff members attached to the branch who are now exhibiting flu-like symptoms. The Bank has engaged the relevant authorities, and the affected employees are now being treated and evaluated.
“We continue to take every precaution to protect the health and safety of our employees and customers” said Sarah Hobbs, Managing Director, Scotiabank Belize Limited.
“We regret any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and remind our customers that they can still access a wide range of banking services, including deposits and withdrawals, using our ABM Machine,” Hobbs added.
Additional services are also available using our digital banking platforms which can be accessed by signing up for online banking or downloading the Scotia mobile app which are available 24/7. Transactions that may be conducted using these channels include:
- Bill payment
- Loan payment
- Funds transfer between personal accounts or to any account at another local bank
- Review of account balance and account activity
